My wife and I have been working closely with Ms. Eicher and her firm, CMI, for two years, having been referred by a friend here in the States. During that time we first spent many weeks searching for an apartment in Paris with her, then purchased a place, renovated it, and now maintain and rent it part of the year, all with the aid of Ms. Eicher.
What we greatly appreciate about the experience, has been Anna's full-service approach. At the beginning we had no idea about the buying experience in Parcs, and little notion of the neighborhoods and housing markets within the city.
Anna spent the time explaining, and then accompanying us from quartier to quartier, giving us an orientation and feel for the city. Anna connected us with a real estate lawyer, a mortgage lender, and even ultimately, a contractor who oversaw a fairly extensive restoration of the place. She managed the rebuild work, and currently look after the rentals which pay for a piece of the mortgage expense. This is truly all-around service.
While it is certainly not easy navigating the laws, customs, negotiating etiquette, language and demographics of a country not your own, Anna has never failed to support us when we needed that (often!). Meanwhile, we have become far more literate in the Paris real estate world...with the right help, I think this becomes a very satisfying learning experience.
